DDM Services supplies ATM banking machine modules in particular currency cassettes and parts for the major equipment suppliers including NCR. DDM Services maintains and refurbishes currency cassettes for a number of UK and European financial institutions.

Hand Planer Design

Redesign of a hand planer for the domestic hand-tool market. As part of the project a new motor was identified and the cutter design arrangement was improved. Extensive 3D models were made available to the client.

Grain Dryer Solution

Design and installation project management of a grain drying facility at Dundee harbour. The facility included lorry pit, four wet grain stores, two grain dryers and control room. The project included overall site layout.

Subsea Riser Layout

Design engineering and layout modifications of oilfield pipeline assembly. The pipelines were between the oil well and production platform for a North Sea installation. A wet store was also created for the old pipeline.

ATM Intelligent Fraud Detection

Design integration and installation of a third party Intelligent Fraud Detection (IFD) device for an ATM. Post-build integration testing was carried out on the completed units.

ATM Currency Cassette Renewal

With time and usage the currency dispenser mechanism within an ATM, in particular the currency cassettes, suffer wear and damage in transit resulting in impaired performance. DDM Services refurbishes these units.

July 2010

This month sees the launch of a completely redesigned and enhanced website for DDM Services. The new website, developed in collaboration with SBP Creative of Edinburgh, gives more information on the design capabilities, engineering services, staff logistics and product sales now being offered by DDM Services.

July 2011

Recently DDM Services has been involved in adding new modules to a number of ATM's for an American bank as a field trial. The most interesting feature was adding a camera, microphone and speaker and update the operating system to allow the customer to speak directly to a call centre operator.

March 2011

DDM services has just completed 2 years of cooperation with NCR, BBVA, IDEO and others in the development and manufacture of the first prototype machines that are currently being installed in branches in Madrid and throughout Spain. Initially, building 4 prototype units to prove the concept and allow BBVA to test and develop the software, resulting in design improvements. Build of a further 10 units and then providing modules for the next 20 units with further design enhancements for use and production.
